Rosebank International University College (RIUC), part of the ADvTECH Group, has set up its campus in Ghana, boasting international accreditations and collaborations, establishing the institution as a center for global education to provide students with exceptional access to high-quality learning and professional opportunities.
An organization originating from South Africa has received recognition from various esteemed bodies, such as the British Accreditation Council (UK), South African Qualifications Authority (RSA), and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), guaranteeing compliance with high academic standards within the nation.
Additional international partnerships include the Golden Key International Honour Society, providing students with access to a worldwide community of outstanding scholars, the Independent Institute of Education (IIE) based in South Africa, and the Capsicum Culinary Studio, which has recognized RIUC's culinary programs for their quality and maintains a global network of industry collaborators.
RIUC is a division of ADvTECH, Africa's top and most recognized private higher education organization, operating more than 113 colleges and institutions throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. It is also part of the Association of African Universities (AAA), an affiliation that enhances RIUC's contribution to promoting higher education across the continent.
RIUC's Vice-President, Dr. George Asamoah, told the B&FT that these advancements represent a major step forward in RIUC's goal of linking students with top-tier education and international career opportunities.
As the first academic semester, starting on 1 September 2025, approaches, RIUC has opened registrations for a variety of popular courses, including doctoral programs and diplomas.
Rosebank, located in the Airport Residential Area of Accra - Opeibea House, currently includes three departments: Commerce, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Hospitality, Culinary, and Service, offering 15 approved programs.
Among its recognized programs are the Doctor of Business Administration, Master of Science in Digital Marketing, Bachelor of Service Management, and Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts, along with other options.
Pupils from Ghana are given the chance to spend a semester at one of its South African campuses, allowing them to immerse themselves in different cultures, gain direct continental insights, and establish connections for career development.
The key aspect of this announcement is the chance for RIUC students to engage in international exchange programs with IIE Rosebank College, which has eight campuses throughout South Africa and serves more than 33,000 students in total. Additionally, the college is part of The Golden Key International Honour Society, located in the United States.
"These interactions will allow students to pursue studies overseas, fully engaging in varied academic and cultural settings to develop competencies needed for the international job market," states Dr. Asamoah.
The Vice-President of RIUC added that by welcoming international collaborations and globally acknowledged certifications, the institution is enabling its students to thrive and excel on a global level while maintaining their connection to African excellence.
The president of RIUC, Dr Linda Meyer, in her statement regarding the opening of the school, remarked: “We are proud to unveil our top-tier campus located in the heart of the esteemed Airport Residential Area – a center of national advancement and creativity. Our priority lies in providing outstanding student experiences and accessible technology, and we are dedicated to offering high-standard, globally acknowledged higher education.”
Dr. Asamoah is hopeful that the new accreditations highlight RIUC's dedication to providing high-quality, affordable higher education that aligns with both regional and global standards, preparing students to succeed in a globally connected economy.
